William B. Swingle, 84, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, in his home in Chambersburg.
The son of the late Carleton and Eva (Martin) Swingle, he spent most of his life in Lake Ariel and, later, Shohola. A combat veteran of World War II; he worked as a heavy equipment operator and had an auto repair business.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Drum Swingle.
He is survived by relatives in Wayne County and in Chambersburg.
Graveside services and interment will be at Canaan Corners Cemetery, Owego Tpke, Waymart, at 12 noon on November 14. The Rev. Edmund Cotton will officiate.
