EDITOR'S INK- Expressions of goodwill (such as this sign) have been heard and seen for our PA State Police and law enforcement in general since the melodrama in the Pike County woods began 10 days ago on Friday night, September 12, 2014. As of this writing on Monday Septemebr 22, the killer was still at large, presumably well armed and posing an extreme danger to the masses of police looking for him.

HAWLEY- George A. Kelch, a Hawley son, was one of numerous local men who answered the Call to join the fight in the Great War, we later came to know as World War I. He was killed July 16, 1918 in the battle of Chateau Thierry at the age of 20.
