- Grey Towers National Historic Site, near Milford, PA, is operated by the U.S. Forest Service. Public tours and programs are offered. Grey Towers is a 44-room French chateauesque mansion, built in 1886 by James Pinchot. His son, Gifford Pinchot, became the first United States Forester and served two terms as PA governor.
