- Here is a view of the placid Paupack Falls, meandering past Ledges Hotel in Hawley, PA, heading to its confluence with the Lackawaxen River. Before the creation of Lake Wallenpaupack in 1926, the falls were much more full, and gave power to numerous factories and mills. The bluestone ravine, wooded hillside and water are still a natural attraction in the Hawley area.
