- A brief but solemn Memorial Day service was observed at the Veterans Monument near Bingham Park, Hawley, immediately before the 2012 parade commenced, May 27. Hawley American Legion Wilson-Kelch Post 311 and Wayne Pike Detachment Marine Corps League #640 took part.
