On Wednesday afternoon the Lady Bucks played host to the Lady Patriots of Pittston Area for the District II AAA Quarterfinal match-up, and from the opening minutes of the game the Purple Pack dominated their opponents on the way to an 8-1 victory.

The Bucks went on the offensive attack early and often and their leading goal-scorer on the year, Jillian Alderfer, was the one to find the net first and second in the game and ended with a hat trick.

The only goal the Lady Patriots recorded on the day came about ten minutes later on a questionable call in the box that resulted in a penalty kick.

‘Paupack’s Heather Michael picked up four saves in the game.

The next test for the Bucks will be Wyoming Valley West, the number one seeded team in the league, and a team that has already beaten the Bucks twice this year. Though they beat the Purple Pack twice, each game was close and a break here or there and the outcome would have been different. In their first meeting they won 2-0, in the second meeting they won 2-1.

The next game is scheduled for May 19 at Lake Lehman for a 6 pm start and the District II AAA Semi-final match-up.
