While hoping to catch one of the tagged, stocked fish in the 2008 Lackawaxen River Monster Trout Derby, Richard Triplett caught a wild, untagged, 8-1/2 lb., 29 in. rainbow trout.

Triplett’s fish didn’t win him a prize in the Derby, but it will most certainly win him accolades and envy from other anglers.
