The Lady Bucks scored two goals in the second half of a damp and cold evening on Monday to beat GAR 2-0.
The win was the second against the Lady Grenadiers in as many tries with the Bucks racking up a total of seven goals and only giving up one in both contests. ‘Paupack improved its record to 8-5-2 (6-2-1 in league play).
After a scoreless first half Jillian Jansco broke the ice and netted a penalty shot at the 53:06 mark for the eventual game-winner.
Gina Boccia capped the scoring and put the game out of reach for the Bucks in the 89th minute of play on an assist from Kacie Chern.
Heather Michael recorded two saves in the cage for the Bucks, Gina Elmy recorded 20 saves for GAR who was outshot by a huge margin of 22-2 in the contest. The Bucks also led in the corners kicks stats with 3 to GAR’s 0.
