Hawley Post 311 traveled to Honesdale to take on the Honesdale Dime Bank in Senior Legion Baseball and won the game 5-0 to improve their record to 11-2 on the season. Honesdale dropped to 7-3.

Nick DeFebo was the winning pitching in the game going seven innings and only yielding two hits while striking out nine. DeFebo also helped his cause by knocking a homerun out of the park and going one for three at the plate with two runs scored.

Hawley’s Chris Ortiz collected two doubles and Wayne Thalmann and Corey Linden both recorded two hits a piece in the victory.

Honesdale’s Anthony Matacchiera and Erik Sandercock had one hit each.
