MILFORD - The Milford Garden Club is holding its semi-annual annual flower show this year on Friday, August 22nd from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, August 23rd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Friendship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, on the corners of Broad and Ann Streets in Milford.
This will be a Standard Flower Show with the theme, “A Salute to a Great Nation.” The show is open and free to the public.
All amateur designers and growers are eligible to enter. Horticultural entries must have been grown by the exhibitor and/or in the exhibitor’s possession for at least 90 days before the show.
Floral designers and craft exhibitors will have the opportunity to interpret themes such as “Grand Tetons,” “Skiing in Stowe, Vermont,” and table designs such as “Honeymoon at Niagara Falls,” and “New England Bed and Breakfast.”
Horticultural entries include annuals, perennials, roses, dahlias, and container grown plants, such as African violets, cacti and succulents, ivy, and mixed plantings.
