GREATER WAYNE/PIKE AREA  - The following firework displays are planned on or near the 4th of July. A list of parades and other July 4th activities follows.

All of the fireworks displays begin at or close to dusk.


June 30:
Lake Ariel. Free. Rain date, July 1.

July 2:
Honesdale (shot from Irving Cliff). Rain dat, Friday, July 6.
Before the fireworks, enjoy children’s activities, food vendors and live entertainment in or near Central Park, starting at 6:30 p.m.

July 3:
Mount Airy Casino. Free.

July 3:
Skytop Lodge. $10/car. Like music and concessions. VIP seating is available.

July 3:
Shawnee Mountain Ski Area. $10/car, benefits Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company. Live DJ, food and craft vendors, magic show. Gates open, 7 p.m.

July 3:
Camelback Mountain Waterpark, 6:30- 10:30 p.m. Free with Camelback admission and open to the public after 8 p.m. Music, food, extended access to water park attractions.

July 3:
Port Jervis, NY, fired from Point Peter. A tasting from local eateries takes place at Riverside Park from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost: adult, $15, children 4-12, $8. Coolers are prohibited. Bring your lawn chairs.

July 4:
Lake Wallenpaupack (shot from the high school athletic field). Rain day, July 5.

July 4:
Milford - New this year. (See separate story.)

July 4:
East Stroudsburg, Dansbury Park. Annual American Freedom Festival, Tuesday, 3 to 9 p.m., Wednesday 3 to 11 p.m. Family friendly. Carnival rides and games, food trucks and vendors and free fireworks Wednesday at dusk.

July 6:
Narrowsburg, NY. Rain date: July 7. The fireworks are sponsored by Lang Industries, Central House Resort and Lander’s River Trips.

July 7:
Moscow, behind the Middle School on Church Street.


July 4:

Hawley - steps off at noon, from blinker light on Main Avenue to Bingham Park. Carnival in park at 1 p.m. Lake Ariel - Lake Ariel Fire Department hosts their annual picnic and chicken barbecue starting at 4 p.m. The parade steps off at 7 p.m. on Route 191 in downtown Lake Ariel. Narrowsburg - parade begins a 3 p.m. Narrowsburg Fire Department chicken barbecue begins at 4:30 p.m. Pleasant Mount  - parade starts at 10 a.m. There will be speakers, games, refreshments, silent auction, book sale, raffles BBQ, t-shirts for floats and tractors. Firecracker 5K race/walk, 7:30 to 9 a.m.(register between 6:30 and 7:15 a.m.). Parade lineup, 9 a.m. Parade 10- 11 a.m. Ceremony in Meredith Park, 11 a.m.- noon.
