HAWLEY - Applications are being accepted for Community Garden plots. The garden is located next on the Hawley Public Library grounds, adjacent to the creek.

There are 10 raised beds, four foot wide by 10 foot long. The entire garden is enclosed by a six foot high chain link fence for protection from deer. There are also water tanks for irrigation.

The garden is available to gardeners every day during daylight hours.

The annual fee is $35.00. Should a gardener desire a plot for the following year as well, that year’s fee will be reduced to $20.00.

Enjoy raising flowers, vegetables or herbs in your own rented plot. Have gardening questions? Browse the books or a computer at the Hawley Public Library.

Downtown Hawley Partnership hosts the Community Garden, in partnership with the Hawley Public Library and Hawley Borough. 2019 marks the third year for the Hawley Community Garden.

Persons may pick up an application at Borough Hall during office hours. For questions, please check with the library staff or call 570-991-5356.
