CORRECTION: Hawley's 4th of July parade starts at NOON
Parades, fireworks surround the 4th

WAYNE & PIKE REGION -  Among several public fireworks displays listed here is the third annual display in Milford. The coordinator announced that unless sufficient support was raised, this would be the final show.
As of Tuesday evening, June 25, no one had contributed anything, Don Quick said.
As in the past two years, the former Milford Borough interim police chief hopes to donate any net proceeds to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.
He said that it cost $5,300 for then fireworks. The pyro-technicians donate their time and services.
“Any monies beyond that goes to Shriner’s Philadelphia,” Quick said. “Unless we at least cover the costs, this will be my final year of the event I had hoped would become a Milford [July 4th tradition].”
The fireworks are scheduled for Thursday, July 4, at 9 p.m., launched from the site of Milford’s new Christmas Star alongside Route 6.
Quick started the fireworks in 2017.
The best viewing areas are the west side of West Harford Street, Key Foods parking lot, and Life Behind Bars motorcycle shop next to Apple Valley Restaurant on Route 6.
Donation checks made out to “A Star for Shriners,” should be mailed to: P.O. Box Q, Milford, PA 18337.
