LACKAWAXEN – Area civic, business, and community representatives joined The Honesdale National Bank’s Officers and staff on Friday, July 12 for the ribbon cutting and relocation celebration of HNB’s Lackawaxen office at 100 LCPL Jacob Beisel Road in Lackawaxen. The bank is occupying part of the Lackawaxen Volunteer Fire Department building.
In the early 1800’s, before a national currency was established, sheets of Honesdale Bank currency were cut into individual bills with a pair of scissors. Using those same scissors, Branch Supervisor, Nancy Richards, cut the red ribbon and officially opened HNB’s newly located full-service banking location.
Commenting on the new office, HNB President and CEO David E. Raven said, “We’re very excited about our new location in Lackawaxen. HNB strives to offer a warm and friendly banking experience for our customers, offering a committed and willing resource to our communities.”
He continued, “We are thrilled to be occupying a shared space with our good friends at the Lackawaxen Volunteer Fire Department Station #31. In addition to improved parking, the new location features the same friendly team and convenient banking services that were previously enjoyed.”
The office features full-service personal and business banking resources, a 24-hour walk-up ATM, and night depository.  In addition to visits to the office, the staff can continue to be reached at 570-685-1000.
