HONESDALE - Drs. Philip and Rosita Liu have established a $2000 scholarship to be awarded annually to a Wayne County resident graduate who will be majoring in the health care profession. 

HONESDALE - Drs. Philip and Rosita Liu have established a $2000 scholarship to be awarded annually to a Wayne County resident graduate who will be majoring in the health care profession. 
At its annual Scholarship Presentation Program on June 18, the Wayne County Community Foundation in association with Drs. Liu awarded this scholarship to Annarose McLaughlin, a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School. 
She was honored by the Wallenpaupack School Board in November 2018 for academic excellence and resourceful use of extracurricular opportunities. She announced her intentions to attend college and major in Nursing- Emergency Medicine, with a minor in Foreign Language.
At high school she was very active with WAHS Players, Marching Band, Concert & Symphonic Band Concert Choir, Jazz Band & Wind Ensemble, Cross Country Team and Foreign Language Club. She was in the National Honor Society all four years in high school.
Annarose is the daughter of JoAnna Van Tine, of Lakeville.
