Soviet-born artist is from Hawley
HONESDALE - Lina Badaszewski’s art will be on exhibit at ReMax Wayne 416 Main St., Honesdale from September 1 until October 31. A reception open to the public is September 29 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Lina Badaszewski, from Hawley, was born in the Soviet Union and enjoyed an eclectic upbringing. Her father was a spacecraft/electrical engineer and her mother was a professional artist. Their influence led Lina to study creative arts including painting, dance, music and photography. In the past Lina enjoyed a successful career as a music promoter. Her current interests include growing natural produce and fine art - both are presented at the local farmers markets.
Her cultural background included working the land and helping local farmers as part of her everyday activities. This affinity with nature contributes to her creativity and is expressed in her approach to life.
Lina takes inspiration literally “In-Spirit” as a creative flow. Lina’s artwork includes classical oil paintings (city scapes, still life, etc.) and 3-dimensional mandalas, where she pours her energy and love into each and every work.
